Alice Cooper’s Newest Album Released with Musictoday

The newest addition to the Musictoday team is the godfather of shock rock himself, Alice Cooper. For over fifty years, the dark rock icon has jammed out on stage and is most notable for songs like “Schools Out” (1972) and “No More Mr. Nice Guy” (1973). Although most famous for his rock music, Cooper also starred in several movies and television shows throughout the half century of his music career. Some roles include Cooper playing King Herod in the 2018 movie Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert and acting in the role of himself in 1992’s Waynes World as well as in episodes from the television series Monk and That 70s Show. For his musical impacts, he was rewarded with a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

However, he didn’t stop there. Most recently, Alice Cooper has been working to produce his twenty-second solo album. This particular project, entitled Road, incorporated live recording. A concept, in which Cooper insisted on the artists doing sessions without overdubs, in order to strictly highlight the purity of the group’s talent. Cooper released a single to preview this album entitled “I’m Alice” which is available to stream now. The seventy-five-year-old musician is set to go on tour this August to promote this new album which will begin in Syracuse, New York and end in Midland, Texas. However, the new album can also be pre-ordered on his new website with Musictoday! The new album is available for pre-order in red, orange, and of course black. However, for those who want to both see AND hear Alice Cooper, the Limited Edition ‘Road’ Box Set is also available. This limited edition box set, which comes specifically numbered for each order, contains not only the newest Alice Cooper music, but also a Blu-Ray DVD of the 2022 ‘HellFast’ live show as well as other new Alice Cooper merchandise. Other versions of this bundle are available including a combination of both the Blu-Ray CD and ‘Road” Vinyl. All items are available for preorder, with the expected ship date being August 23, 2023.
