The Signals 40 Super Deluxe edition was released in the Rush Backstage Official Store in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the album. Released in 1982, Signals was Rush’s 9th studio album and was intended as a follow up to Moving Pictures. This album was a continuation of Rush’s experimentation with technology, featuring a prominent use of electronic keyboards, violins and sequencers.
The 40th anniversary edition will include a brand-new Hugh Syme cover as well as the 2015 remaster on CD. The album vinyl was cut for the first time at half-speed utilizing DMM, and was pressed on 180g black vinyl for optimal vinyl. Also included is a Blu-ray Audio disc featuring brand-new immersive Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround mixes by Richard Chycki, the 2015 48kHz 24-bit stereo remaster, new animated visualizers for each song, and two bonus music videos for “Subdivisions” and “Countdown”. There is also a variety of anniversary merch available, including a Signals 40 Picture Disc and Signals 40th Anniversary Tee. In celebration of this release, the Rush Backstage Store is hosting a giveaway where one lucky entrant will win one of the deluxe box sets.
