On March 30, 1985, Prince and The Revolution broadcast their Syracuse, New York performance at the Carrier Dome live via satellite, making history as the first ever musical act to do so. The captured footage became the Grammy Award-nominated concert film Prince and The Revolution: Live.
This year, on June 3, this legendary performance became available for the very first time, entirely remixed and reconstructed, as a 3-LP set, a 2-CD/Blu-ray set, and a deluxe 3-LP/2-CD/Blu-ray Collector’s Edition box set. This meticulously enhanced release invites Prince fans across generations to experience the energy of one of the most iconic performances in music history in a completely new way.
The limited run Collector’s Edition box set, designed by Grammy-nominated artist Mathieu Bitton and Grammy-nominated creative director and Prince associate Trevor Guy, is available exclusively from the Official Prince Store. Housed in a luxe foil box, the set includes 3 special edition colored LPs (purple, red and gold vinyl), 2 CDs, the Blu-ray video, an expansive 44-page book complete with never-before-seen photos of the Purple Rain Tour, new liner notes highlighting stories and memories from all five members of The Revolution, and a 24 x 36 poster.
